Samuel R. Brandon

Samuel R. "The Bull" Brandon, age 12 of Girard died on Wednesday January 16, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center following injuries he received in an automobile accident.

He was born in Erie on May 19, 1995, a son of Thomas E. and Cynthia A. Kennedy Brandon of Girard.

Sam was a student at Northwestern Middle School. He loved playing football for the Little Gridders Raiders, where he was named defensive player of the year. He was a wrestler for the Mat-Cats wrestling program and advanced to States in 2006 in Junior Olympic wrestling. He was looking forward to hunting with his dad, brothers and family in the upcoming hunting season. Sam was also a junior "Gear Head", loving anything with a motor in it, his dream car was a 71 chevelle with 454 big block, always looking forward to owning one someday.

He was a member of the Albion Church of the Nazarene where he attended Sunday School and the youth program.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Shana L. Brandon of Albion, two brothers, Thomas E. Brandon Jr. of Exton, PA. and Gregory R. Brandon of Girard; also by his maternal grandparents, William P. Kennedy of Fairview and Doris Kennedy of Florida; Paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Lorraine Brandon of Girard and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3-5PM and 7-9PM at the Albion Church of the Nazarene, 9580 US Rt 6N, Services will be held there on Monday at 11AM. Rev Wayne Hennen Pastor of the Church officiating.
