Lionell D. "DeWayne" Foringer
Lionell D. "DeWayne" Foringer, 68 of Lake City, died unexpectedly, Saturday November 10, 2007 at St. Vincent Health Center.
He was born November 21, 1938 in Phillipston, PA, a son of the late Harry J. and Alice Dunmyre Foringer.
DeWayne moved to Lake City in 1955 and had resided there since. He worked for Kramer Machine Shop in Lake City, and then worked for 34 years at Town Square, Melody Lane Foods, Heinz Foods, Rich's Frozen Foods and most recently Lake Shore Frozen Foods in Maintenence, retiring from there in 2001.
He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Girard where he was a member of the Trustees and also plowed snow there many years. He truly loved his family and was always willing to help them in any way he possbly could. He enjoyed helping others as well and also plowing snow for those who needed help. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth McMillen and Marlene Sedler also by two brothers, George and Jerry Foringer.
He is survived by his wife, Sally A. McCamman Foringer, whom he married September 3, 1960 in East Springfield, also by three daughters, Kathy A. Pruchniewski and her husband Lawrence of Fairview, Diana L. Klingensmith and her husband Daniel of Girard, Erin G. Foringer of Lake City; a son, DeWayne M. Foringer and his wife Michelle of McKean; a sister, Barbara McMillen and her husband Richard of Albion; a brother, James Foringer of Meadville; five grandchildren, Shaun, Kyle, Trever, Rachel and Dillon; three step-grandchildren, Patricia, Stefanie and Robert; a great grandaughter Aleria Marie also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday at 10AM at the Bethel Assembly of God Church, 1414 Lake St., Girard. Rev.Marty Critchfield, Pastor of the church officiating.
