James F. Devine
James F. Devine, 61, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday May 2, 2007. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." II Timothy 4:7 He was born on June 6, 1945 to Marjorie (Cole) Devine and the late Howard F. Devine.
He had been employed for the past 22 years at Modern Industries, where he recently retired. He was a member of the National Guard. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed golfing and bowling. He attended the Sterrettania Alliance Church.
He is survived by his dedicated wife of 40 years, Karol Rae (Wittenburg) Devine, his children, daughters Amy and husband Randy Simitoski, Stacey and husband Dan Mandus, sons Jim Devine and wife Chelle, Wes Devine and close friend Joy. Grandchildren, Mikayla, Mikenzie,Daniel, Kelsey, Isaac, Ryan, Rylee and James. Brothers: Gerald,Kenneth, Roger, and Robert Devine, Sisters: Patricia Brace, Kathleen Countryman, Susan Miller, and Barbara Lyons, Sister-in-law, Kathleen Luther, Lifelong friend Walt Bartlett, S.O.S Rick Cowger, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Federated Church of East Springfield, Rev. R. Mark Droll, Pastor of the Sterrettania Alliance Church officiating. Burial will be in the Hope Cemetery
