Elizabeth C. Vargo Andrezejczak

Elizabeth C. Vargo Andrezejczak, 94 formerly of Girard, died peacefully, Sunday April 29, 2007 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. Elizabeth was born on February 14, 1913 in Erie, a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Zofchak Vargo.

She was employed at Rich's Frozen Foods in Lake City which was formally Town Square. She and her late husband Joseph moved to Girard from Erie in 1957 and has resided there since. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard where she was active in the Alter Rosary Society and The Sewing Circle. She was active at the Tri-boro Senior Citizens in Fairview.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Andrezejczak, June 4, 1996, and whom she married November 5, 1938 in Erie; also by sisters, Ann Vargo in infancy and Mary Vargo; brothers George Vargo in infancy, Joseph, William, George Jr. and Michael Vargo. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Richard and Rose Marie Vargo of Erie, J. Leonard Vargo and his wife Elaine of Tacoma Park, Md., Nancy Groves and her husband Mel of Northumberland, Pa. and Judy Michaelson and her husband William of Girard.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. A prayer service will be held there on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Girard at 10a.m. Rev. William O'Brien officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may to the Friends of Pleasant Ridge Manor, 8300 West Ridge Rd., Girard, PA 16417
