Inez Ruth Brownlee Curran

Inez Ruth Brownlee Curran, 87, formerly of Locust Street, Girard, died Tuesday April 17, 2007 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. Inez was born in North Girard, November 16, 1919, a daughter of the late Alfonzo and Clarabelle Kratzke Brownlee.

She graduated from the Platea Boro School, and was a resident of Girard throughout the remainder of her life. She had worked for Marx Toy's in Girard for several years, however taking care of her family had been her priority throughout her life. She was a member of the Dobler Hose ladies Auxiliary, and the American Legion Post #494 ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, canning, playing euchre, and bingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband John W. "Jack" Curran in 1983; a daughter, Patricia Olinger; by five sisters, Eva Sitek, Geraldine Lance, Agnes Tallman, Charlotte Rist, and Virginia Lewendowski, also a brother George Brownlee. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. Curran of Lake City; Judith R. Behringer and her husband Robert "Butch" of Girard; a son, Michael A. "Mick" Curran and his wife Sissy of Girard; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed.Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday at 11a.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard, Rev. Curtis Jones officiating.Burial will be in the Platea Cemetery at the convenience of the family.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, 2115 W. 38th St., Erie, PA. 16508
