Anna Lou Lawrence

Anna Lou Thurman Lawrence, age 86, of Millcreek Twp. died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at her residence. She was born on February 9, 1924, the daughter of the late, Luther and Leona Peters Thurman, Sr.

She was employed at the Millcreek Twp. School District. She belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church and Hillvale Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. She enjoyed knitting afghans, ceramics, sewing clothing for dolls, cooking, great homemaker, and listening to conservative radio stations.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Walter Joseph Lawrence, one brother, Luther Thurman, Jr., and one sister, Una B. Sutton.

She is survived by one daughter Karen G. Lawrence of Bloomingdale, IL, one granddaughter, Briana Werner, one son, David R. Lawrence of Millcreek, one brother, W.P. Thurman (Karleen) of Clinton, TN.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there at Monday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hamot Aid Society, 201 State St., Erie, PA 16550.
