 Robert John Stolt, Sr.
Robert J. "Bob" Stolt, Sr., 66, of San Antonio, TX, died on January 31, 2012 at his residence and went in the arms of his Lord. He was surrounded by his family, friends, loyal hospice team and loyal dachshund "Handsome". Bob was born in Erie on September 5, 1945, to the late William "Bill" and Florence Stolt.
Bob was a U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant and combat veteran in Vietnam and later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant in February 1986. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and renowned mesquite BBQ cook and NASCAR fan.
Bob is survived by sons, Robert J. Stolt, Jr. (Lori) and their son, grandson Jacob of Austin, Texas, and Harlen D. Stolt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Elizabeth D. "Punkin" Stolt of San Antonio, Texas; his sister, Sandra and her husband, the Rev. Charles Wertz of Harborcreek; nephew David and wife Anita Wertz; niece Kelly and husband Terry Shrout; his dear friend Sylvia Belovoskey of San Antonio, Tex.; lifelong friends, George Sell and the late Larry Corey of Harborcreek, the brothers he never had; and his classmate Barb Garner and cousin Pam of Pennsylvania.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or to any non-political organization that feeds the world's hungry. Interment, Sam Houston National Cemetery.
