Edward J. Jasinski

Edward J. Jasinski, age 91, of Greene Twp., passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012. He was born in Erie on September 13, 1920, son of the late Adolph and Marguerite Jasinski.

Ed was a 1941 graduate of Tech High School and worked at Lowe Supply Co. prior to his induction into the U.S. Army. Following his service he was a plumber with Hall's Plumbing & Heating and then Heisler Plumbing & Heating, prior to his retirement. Ed was a member of St. Boniface R.C. Church.

Ed was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars; the Purple Heart, American Campaign Medal, Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years, Josephine Balter Jasinski; his son, "Big Joe" Jasinski; one granddaughter, Cheryl Mills (Daryl); one sister, Rita Kaminski; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a son, Richard P. Jasinski.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Boniface R.C. Church on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Mount of Olives Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road.
