Dusckas Obituaries
 Arthur C. Bennett, Sr.
Arthur C. "Bud" Bennett, Sr., age 79, of Erie, passed away early Sunday morning, December 11, 2011. He was born September 18, 1932, in Erie, son of the late Dorcey and Emiline Bennett.
Bud served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Missouri during the Korean War, where he was honorably discharged. He retired from Uniflow Manufacturing of Erie, where he worked for over 50 years. Arthur was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader of Troop #175; an honorary fire police volunteer of the Fairfield Fire Department for 10 years and was a former president of the Fire Hall. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #593, where he was at one time a member of the board and earned the fellowship degree. He enjoyed calling bingo and loved camping with his family. He was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church of Harborcreek.
Arthur was preceded in death by his brother, David Bennett. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Bennett; his sister, Mary Evelyn Simonian; three children, Arthur Bennett, Jr. of Erie, Sandra Bennett Woodworth (Jamie) of Corry, and William Bennett of Erie; three grandchildren, Ricky Woodworth, Michelle Woodworth and Joshua Bennett; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there on Thursday at 10 a.m. The Rev. David Laakso will officiate. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery. East Erie Moose Lodge #593 will conduct a service at the funeral home Wednesday at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family, in care of the funeral home.
