Jean A. Muffie Allen, age 71, of Erie, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at Brevillier Village. She was born March 2, 1940 in Erie, daughter of the late Louis and Marguerite Pfirman Muffie. She had resided in the Erie area her entire life.

Jean was a graduate of the former Academy High School. She was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. Jean enjoyed cooking, ceramics, knitting, needlepoint, drawing, working with plants and arranging flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Daniel M. Allen and one brother, Robert L. Muffie. Survivors include her beloved son, Arthur D. Allen (wife Sallyann Kluz) of Pittsburgh; two nephews, Brian and Tim Muffie; and a great-uncle, Wes Pfirman (wife Nancy) of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Tuesday from 4 and 7 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Rick Cepris. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
