Robert C. "Bob" Adam

Robert C. "Bob" Adam, age 68, of Harborcreek, passed away at his home, lovingly surrounded by his family following an extended illness on Saturday, October 1, 2011. He was born August 25, 1943, in Leesville, La., son of the late Robert G. and Isabelle Hetherington Adam.

Bob was a 1961 graduate of Harbor Creek High School. He attended Wesley United Methodist Church and was a disciple of Christ, who wanted others to know the Lord and took any opportunity to share God's message. Bob retired in 2000 from General Electric where he was a locomotive test man/troubleshooter. He was known for his laughter, love of life and being with other people enjoying fun things. Together, he and his wife enjoyed golf, fishing, square dancing, skiing, bowling and traveling. He also loved drag racing and raced his own car at Lowville Race Track. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He also served in the PA National Guard.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Judith Thompson Adam; children, Ryan Adam of Pittsburgh and William Thompson (Jill) of Arlington, Tenn.; brothers, William Adam (June), Richard Adam (Carol) and Dale Adam (Bonnie) all of Erie; grandchildren, Logan, Cole and Brandon Thompson; four nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. G.H. Trumbo. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
