Sandra Leretsis Gross Acosta, age 63, of Erie, left this world to be with our Lord on Friday, October 29, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center after a brief illness, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was born on June 24, 1947 in Erie, daughter of the late James and Helen Curtis Leretsis.

Sandy enjoyed being a homemaker, playing bingo and especially time with her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur R. Gross, Jr. (1998); a daughter, Julie M. Acosta (1975); a daughter-in-law, Mindy (Todd) Acosta (2005); two grandchildren, Sabastian Acosta (2000); and Baby Johnny (1994).

She is survived by her companion of 32 years, Joseph F. Nolan, Jr.; three brothers, James, Michael and Thomas Leretsis; three sisters, Victoria Rosario, Pennie McBride and Mina Morales; five sons, Arthur R. Gross, Jr. (Carol), Joseph S. Gross (Christina), James T. Gross (fiancée, Lynn), "JJ" A. Acosta, Francisco "Chico" Acosta (Lisa); five daughters, Sandra M. Anderson (Lydell), Sonia M. Walters (Dan), Maria H. Acosta, Rosa L. Acosta and Carmen V. Acosta; 30 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as many friends.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
