Robert H. "Rob" Holmes, Jr., age 53, of Erie, passed away Monday, July 19, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Elmira, N.Y. on May 28, 1957, son of the late Robert H. and June Morse Holmes, Sr.

Robert enjoyed the beach, collecting beach glass, and he especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Hunter in 2006. Survivors include his children, Mandy, Ashley, Nick, Gino and Sergio; six grandchildren; five sisters, Wanda, Sue, Cindy, Tina, and Tammy; three brothers, Ricky, Michael and Steven; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may attend a Memorial Service at Mt. Zion Church, Corner of East 24th and Holland Streets on Monday at 2 p.m. Memorials may be designated to the Family, c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road.
