Mary B. Borowy

Mary B. Borowy, age 78, of Lawrence Park, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St. Mary's Home, East. She was born in Erie on July 7, 1932, daughter of the late Edward and Harriet Kaiser.

Mary was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist R.C. Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, crocheting, knitting, dancing and playing board and card games with her grandchildren and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Borowy; a son, Brian Borowy; and two sisters, Jean Cornwell and Betty Lou Zonna. She is survived by two daughters, Dianna Daniels of North Carolina and Sandra Corey of Harborcreek; two sons, Joseph Borowy (Marilyn) of Corry and Norman Borowy (Patricia) of Erie; one sister, Jacque Hanvey of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one brother, Donald Kaiser of Cooksville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist R.C. Church. Interment, Trinity Cemetery.
