Lawrence Arble

Lawrence Arble, age 70, died Friday, July 9, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. Residence, Harborcreek Twp. He was born in Yatesboro, Pa. on November 7, 1939, son of the late Bernard and Bernice Haney Arble. He had lived in the Erie area most of his life.

He was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1958. Lawrence served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1964. He was employed with Smith Meters until his retirement and was previously employed with Greyhound Lines as a driver for 20 years. He was a member of the East Erie Moose Club and American Legion Carl Neff Post #571.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 45 years, Norma Ellis Arble; one daughter, Laurie Altsman (Gregory) of Harborcreek Twp.; four grandchildren, Ryan Altsman (Jamie), Lindsay Santone, Katelyn Altsman and Victoria Altsman; one brother, Gregory Arble of Erie; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 12 Noon conducted by Rev. Charles Wertz.
