 David H. Snyder
David H. Snyder, 83, of Harborcreek, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Erie Veterans Medical Center on Thursday, March 4, 2010. He was born In Edinboro, Pa. on August 8, 1926, son of the late John P. and Lavina Snyder.
David was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. He entered the Navy at the age of 17 and was one of six brothers who were all serving in the military at the same time. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, woodworking and animals, especially his two Yorkies.
He is survived by his loving wife, Esther Hatt Snyder; his brother, William (Arlene) of North East; stepchildren, Angela Bradish (Arlie) of Harborcreek with whom he resided, Joseph Iesue (friend Carolyn Scalise), Geneva Weber (Don) of Erie, Marlene Lombardi of Harborcreek, Gloria Lombardozzi (Paul) of N.C., Don Weber (Toni) of S.C., Michael Wagner (Sophia) of Erie, Jennifer Wagner of Md., and Christine Erven (Ryan) of Erie; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret; five brothers, Paul, Charles, Edward, Richard and John Snyder; and two sisters, Mary Thomas and Agnes Putnam.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Mark McCallion of Wesleyville Baptist Church. A full military service conducted by American Legion Carl Neff Post #571 will follow at North East Cemetery.
