Robert "Bucky" D. McClelland, age 59, of Erie, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born February 4, 1951 in Tarentum, Pa, the son of Gladys Crosby McClelland of Harborcreek Twp. and the late Robert C. McClelland.

He was a 1969 graduate of Harbor Creek High School. Robert served two years in the U.S. Army and worked at American Meter for 30 years until his retirement in 2001. His favorite pastimes included bowling and gardening. He was also a devoted deer hunter.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law and both paternal and maternal grandparents. Robert is survived by his wife of 36 years, Christine L. Chandler McClelland; five children, Amy (Daniel), Robert, Steve (Jessie), Ashley (Andrew) and Sarah; six grandchildren, Leyna, Michelle, Braeden, Hailey, D.J. and Caleb; two brothers, Russell (Isavel) and Ronald (Nancy); a brother-in-law, Charles Chandler (Debbie) of Pampa, Texas; seven nephews and two nieces, Joseph (Michelle), Faith, Adam, Jacob, Caleb, Katelyn, Calib, Cory and Christopher; an uncle, Wayne McClelland of Georgia; an aunt, Carol Ciuca (Henry) of Vandergrift, Pa.; and many cousins and close friends.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. John Bates, Pastor, Berean Baptist Church. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family, c/o the funeral home.
