Joseph E. Giglio

Joseph E. Giglio, age 88, of Largo, Florida and formerly of Erie, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010. He was born in Erie on October 7, 1921, son of the late Louis and Matilda Darling Giglio.

Joseph had resided at Hill's Family Campground for 10 summers following retirement, then resided in Largo, Florida. He was employed with General Electric Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1977 as a supervisor in the aerospace division. He was a graduate of the G.E. Apprentice Program; a member of the Siebenbuerger Club, PA State American Legion, G.E. Apprentice Alumni, G.E. Management Assn. and the Moose Club in Florida. He enjoyed gardening, soft ball and pitched horseshoes. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII.

Preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Upton Giglio; one brother, Louis Giglio and one sister, Marie Hoover. Survivors include one sister, Evelyn Woloszyn (Matt) of Erie; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. John Hall of First Alliance Church. Interment, Laurel Hill Cemetery.
