Robert A. "Bob" Morschhauser

Robert A. "Bob" Morschhauser, age 69, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. He was born December 29, 1940 in Erie, son of the late Anthony Morschhauser and Clara Rohrer Morschhauser who passed on Wednesday of this past week.

Bob was a 1958 graduate of the former Academy High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Bob was employed as a machinist at American Hollow Boring for 38 years prior to his retirement. He was a member and past president of Steelworker's Union Local #7869; a life member and past president of the Zukor Club; a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club and a member of American Legion Carl Neff Post #570. Bob enjoyed camping, traveling in his motor home and especially enjoyed spending time with this family. He was also very active in politics.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Jean. Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Elaine Miller Morschhauser; four children, Robin Hadlock (Doug) of Cochranton, Patricia Borowy (Norm) of Erie, Robert Morschhauser, Jr. (Kathy) of North East and Joseph Morschhauser (April) of Greene Twp.; one sister, Donna Maxon (Keith) of Erie; three brothers, James (Sue) and Daniel (Kelly) all of Erie and William Morschhauser (Cynthia) of Apollo, Pa.; six grandchildren, Bradley, Thomas, Erica, Aimee, Logan and Jordan; one great-granddaughter, Lilly Ann; one aunt, one uncle, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Theodore Marconi, Pastor, Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church. Entombment, Erie County Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
