Jackie Lyn Barnes

Jackie Lyn Barnes, age 41, of Erie, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 following a brief illness. She was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on May 20, 1968, the daughter of Linda Olson Zochowski and the late John Zochowski and Philip M. McIntyre.

Jackie was a hairdresser in her family's Salon, The Ultimate Cut. She was a 1986 graduate of McDowell High School before graduating from Villa Maria College and the former J.H. Thompson Academy of Cosmetology. Jackie was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist. She loved music, dancing and especially enjoyed her nieces and nephew.

Preceded in death by her companion, Brent Carey. Besides her mother and father, survivors include her beloved daughter, Tomee Lyn Barnes; one brother, Michael Zochowski (Susan) of Daytona Beach, Fla.; one sister, Betty Proctor (Robert) of Erie; her maternal grandmother, Betty J. Olson of Erie; one uncle, Wallace Olson (Marilyn) of Therma, Md.; two nieces, Samantha and Jolyn; one nephew, Robbie; and many cousins.

No calling hours will be observed. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., West, 536 West 10th St. is handling funeral arrangements.
