Dolores I. Wicks Ardery, age 79, of Wesleyville, passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Erie on October 16, 1930, daughter of the late John and Clara Donikowski Wicks.

Dolores was a member of St. James R.C. Church and an auxiliary member of American Legion Carl Neff Post #571. She had previously worked at Marx Toys and Hammermill Paper Co. Dolores enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and especially enjoyed time with her family.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Ardery; two brothers, Leonard and John Wicks, Jr.; and one sister, Theresa Fischer. She is survived by two children, Gary Ardery of Erie and Sharon Wilkinson (Stuart) of Harborcreek; one brother, Robert Wicks of Erie; three grandchildren, Laurie, Brian and April; one great-granddaughter, Savannah; her brother-in-law, Wallace Ardery (Irish); several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to John Kanzius Cancer Research, 1001 State St., Erie, PA 16501.
