Constantin Alecse

Constantin Alecse, age 78, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. He was born August 15, 1931 in Bucharest, Romania, son of the late Alexandru and Margareta Popa Alecse.

While in Romania, Constantin was an auto mechanic. He enjoyed traveling, taking walks and time with grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Vilma Alecse. Survivors include three daughters, Ana Fileger of Las Vegas, Nev., Daniela Cioca (Adrian) of Erie and Elena Verdes of Sharon, Pa.; his twin brother, Alexandru Alecse of Greensboro, N.C.; four grandchildren, Juliana, Simona, Andra and Nicole; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Claudia; nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at St. Mary's Orthodox Church, 721 East 5th Street on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road.
