Ethel V. Fogle Alexander

Ethel V. Fogle Alexander, age 81, of Erie, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born September 25, 1927 in Erie, a daughter of the late Floyd and Eva Fox Fogle. She had resided in Harborcreek Twp. for most of her life.

Ethel was a 1945 graduate of the former Academy High School. She had been employed by the former Van de Kamp plant in Erie prior to her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church. Ethel was an auxiliary member of American Legion, Carl Neff Post #571. She was an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald E. Alexander; one sister, Viola Jean Ankenbauer; four brothers, Brian, Everett, Norman and James Fogle. Survivors include her daughter, Karen J. Tucholski; one sister, Shirley Ward of Erie; three brothers, Robert, Raymond and Alfred Fogle all of Erie.

No calling hours will be observed. A private graveside service will be conducted at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road.
