Tim "Anthony" R. Bielanin

Tim "Anthony" R. Bielanin, age 62, of Erie, passed away following a brief illness on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center lovingly surrounded by his family. He was born July 16, 1947 in Erie, a son of Mary J. Ferry Bielanin of Erie and the Late Raymond R. Bielanin. He had resided in Erie his entire life.

Tim had attended St. John's Grade School and the former Academy High School. He had been employed as a truck driver for many years. In years past he had also been a Merchant Marine. Tim was a member of the Polish National Alliance, the Pulaski Club and V.F.W. Post #3390. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and football and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's fan. Tim was also a classic car buff.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his spouse, Carol; he was the loving, wonderful father of three sons, Timothy Raymond Bielanin, Jarod Tyler and Troy Alexander, all of Erie; two step-children, Shannon and Brandon Norris, both of Erie; one brother, Ronald P. Bielanin (wife Cynthia), of Erie; two sisters, Beverly Maxson (husband Dewayne) and Georgianne Bielanin, all of Erie; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family, c/o the funeral home.
