Frank J. Bernatowicz

Frank J. Bernatowicz, age 51, of Erie, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 11, 2009. He was born in Erie on March 13, 1958, the beloved son of Jean McKee of Erie and the late Francis Bernatowicz. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Paul McKee.

Frank had worked at Penelec as a Dispatcher for 15 years and last worked at Power Drive, Inc. He loved taking care of his two cats, Stella and Millicent. He enjoyed photography and taking pictures of his cats. Frank was also known for his great sense of humor.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Bernatowicz; his grandson, Neiko; his sister, Mary Rose Szympruch (James) of Girard, PA; one brother, Dr. Thomas Bernatowicz (Anne) of Chesterfield, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. George R.C. Church. Private interment will be held. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family through the funeral home.
