Ruth Bish Benson

Ruth Bish Benson, age 81, of Harborcreek Twp., died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Brevillier Village. She was born in Wesleyville on January 7, 1928, daughter of the late Harry and Olive Stitzinger Bish. Ruth was a lifelong homemaker and enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Benson and a sister, Jean Himmel. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Miller of Danville, IL and Jacqueline Cattell (George) of McKean; two sons, Phillip Benson (Maggie) and Michael Benson (friend, Barb Bruno) all of Harborcreek; one brother, Paul Bish (Beverly) of Harborcreek; two sisters, Marjorie Van Benthysen and Carol Wallin (Denny); five grandchildren, Patrick Benson, Timothy Smith, Michael Benson, Jr.(Wendy), Brandie Benson (fiancé, Ben Bernatowicz) and Andrew Benson; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Aubrey Smith; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc, East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A private interment will be held.
