Henry John "Tuzzy" Bauer, Jr.
Henry John "Tuzzy" Bauer, Jr., age 79, of Erie, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 following an extended illness.
Henry attended Roosevelt High School and was employed at Nosco Plastics before working and retiring from General Electric in 1994. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and had several hobbies, including woodworking. He had been a member of the Erie Guild of Craftsmen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vivian Bauer; two brothers, Richard and Earl; three sisters, Alice Bitters, Bertha Holman and Shirley Gregory; and one great-grandson, Adam Mong.
Henry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie Anne LaCour Bauer; six children, John Bauer (Kandy) of Pleasantville, Cindy Sutton (Roger) of Erie, Laurie Nelson (Matt) of Erie, Marjorie Newman (Carmen) of North East, Richard Bauer (Lisa) of Harborcreek and Daniel Bauer (girlfriend, Debbie Mercurio) of Lake City; two sisters, Edna Grugin and Josephine Lesko of Erie; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly and sadly missed by all who knew him.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. James McCormick. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2115 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505 or a Charity of One's Choice.
