Delores M. "Suzie" Heslop

Delores M. "Suzie" Heslop, age 73, of Harborcreek Twp., fell peacefully asleep on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center following an extended illness. She was born on June 14, 1934 in Punxsutawney, PA, daughter of the late Charles LeRoy and Arabell Enterline Alcorn.

A resident of Harborcreek since 1964, Delores had been employed with Penn State Behrend for 20 years in Food & Housing. She was a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God where she was active with the Joy Group. Delores enjoyed gardening, reading and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's many sporting events. Delores was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles O. Heslop, Jr.; one sister; and three brothers. Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Forsythe (Roger) of North East, PA; two sons, Randy Heslop and his companion Mary Lou of Findley Lake, NY, Kevin Heslop (Marie) of Harborcreek Twp.; four sisters, four brothers; eight grandchildren, Sharon, Jason, Joseph, Kirk, Allen, Michael, Angela and Matthew; two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Alexa; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Michael Grove, Pastor, Praise Cathedral. Interment, Crestview Memorial Park at 4 p.m.
