Shirley A. Kraft Bertolo

Shirley A. Kraft Bertolo, age 62, of Erie, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 31, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born January 19, 1946 in Yakima, WA, daughter of the late Anthony and Magdalin Schmidt Kraft. She had resided in the Erie area for most of her life.

Shirley had been employed by Twinbrook Medical Center for 30 years prior to her retirement in January. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and shopping. Shirley was the owner of J & L Sports Pub on Buffalo Road in Wesleyville,

Preceded in death by a grandson, Lawrence George Bertolo and her mother-in-law, Ruth Bertolo. Shirley is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Bertolo; five children, Lisa Bertolo of Conneaut, OH, Nina Korwin of Meadville, Larry Bertolo, Jr. (Melissa) of Erie, Renee Schonthaler (Jack) of Millcreek Twp. and Toni Hinterberger (Tom) of Erie; two sisters, Vivian Giles (Cliff) and Helen Kraft all of Yakima, WA; one brother, Maximillian Bonajovski (Arti) of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren, Leah, Nathan, Brandon, Brittany, Kevin, Kayla, Christa, Miranda and Alesha; her father-in-law, Frank Bertolo of Turtle Creek, PA; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
