Patricia L. Goss

Patricia L. Goss, age 80, of Erie, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born September 7, 1927 in Chicora, PA, daughter of the late William and Grace Mariacher. She had resided in Erie for most of her life.

Patricia had been employed by General Electric Co. for a brief time following WWII. She had also been employed by various local restaurants, including Ricardo's Restaurant where she had been employed for 35 years. She was well known in the Erie area for her baking, especially her cookies. Patricia was a founding member of Mount Calvary R.C. Church. She enjoyed reading and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Francis V. Goss, who passed away November 4, 2007; one sister, Josephine Barnhart; three brothers, John, Braden and Francis Mariacher. Survivors include eight children, Francis Goss, Jr. (wife Carol) of Erie, Richard Goss (wife Marjorie) of Erie, Michael Goss of Erie, Aileen Goss of Severna Park, MD, John Goss, (wife Katie) of Bradford, PA, Marilyn Goss (partner John) of Erie, Kathleen Randour (husband Edward) of Annapolis, MD and Kenneth Goss (wife Karrie) of Camp Hill, PA; one sister, Ruth Larkin (husband Robert) of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Edgar Mariacher (wife Shirley) of Butler, PA; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Mount Calvary R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Services of Erie County, 1305 Peach St., Erie, PA 16501.
