Dusckas Obituaries
Carl E. Berti
Carl E. Berti, age 83, of Wesleyville, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Hamot Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Force, PA on April 26, 1924, a son of the late Louis and Rose Trentini Berti.
A resident of Wesleyville most of his life, Carl had worked for Kaiser Aluminum for over 20 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII, Carl was a member of the 101st Airborne "Easy Company" Screaming Eagles. He was a member of the Bay City Gun Club, American Legion Carl Neff Post #571. Carl was a long-time member of St. James R.C. Church.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Helen Koziarski Berti; three brothers, Ray, Larry and Vic Berti; and a half sister, Jenny Mitchell. Survivors include one daughter, Carla Skellie and her husband, Dale of Fairport, NY; two granddaughters, Devon and Deanna Skellie of Fairport, NY; one brother, Louis Berti of Erie; one sister, Adelle Schell of West Chester, PA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 2 p.m. conducted by Fr. James McCormick, Pastor of St. James R.C. Church. Interment, Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery with full military honors conducted by American Legion Carl Neff Post #571.
