James E. Ardery
James E. Ardery, age 78, of Wesleyville, died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Golden Living Center. He was born in Corry, PA, April 7, 1929, son of the late Wayne and Ruth Ardery.
Jim was employed as a mechanic for Briggs and Hagenlocher for over 30 years, prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. James R.C. Church and American Legion Carl Neff Post 571. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War; was an avid sports fan; and enjoyed gardening. He was a 1947 graduate of Spartansburg High School.
Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dolores Ardery; two children, Gary Ardery of Erie and Sharon Wilkins (Stuart), of Harborcreek; one brother, Wallace Ardery (Irish) of Erie; 3 grandchildren, Laurie and Brian Ardery and April Wilkinson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise McGill.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. James R.C. Church. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society-Erie Unit, 2115 West 38th St., Erie, PA 16508 or to a Charity of One's Choice.
