Iva Lauffer Bindley

Iva Lauffer Bindley, age 86 of Erie, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Presque Isle Rehab in Erie. She was born in Warren, PA on January 31, 1921, daughter of the late Frederick and Edna Cole Lauffer.

Iva had resided in North East for over 55 years, moving to Erie in 2001; prior to that she lived in North Warren, PA. She attended Harborcreek Baptist Church.

The widow of George E. "Everett" Bindley, she is survived by one daughter, Shirley Wuenschel of Erie. She was preceded in death by two half-sisters and two half-brothers.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Harborcreek Baptist Church on Saturday at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. Donald Roach. Private interment will be held at Taft Cemetery. The Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Harborcreek Baptist Church, 4719 Buffalo Rd., Erie, PA 16510 or the Northwestern PA Humane Society, 2407 Zimmerly Rd., P.O. Box 3930, Erie, PA 16508.
