Helen Ann (Chizewick) Beardsley

Helen Ann (Chizewick) Beardsley, 90, formerly of North East, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at Golden Living Center-Western Reserve in Erie. She was born on October 31, 1919 in Allegany, N.Y. a daughter of the late Michael and Sophia Martynek Chizewick.

Helen was a member of St. Gregory Church in North East. She loved to bake and make candy fudge along with doing home canning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Beardsley in 1992, six brothers, Emil, Joseph, Francis, Michael, John and Jim and three sisters, Ann Stomierosky, Mary Chapin and Cecelia Flagg. Helen is survived by one brother, Edward Chizewick and his wife Genevieve of Erie and several nieces and nephews.

Private visitation will be held at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, Pa. at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Gregory's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
