Phyllis J. Wilson

Phyllis J Wilson, of Sarasota, FL passed away Saturday March 20, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Beckley, West Virginia and moved to Sarasota in the 1950's.

She worked for the House of Golf for 10 years in Sarasota as a buyer of ladies and men's clothing. Phyllis and her husband of 40 years, Wesley T. Wilson (formerly of North East, PA) went to Highlands, NC in 1973 and fell in love with the town. In 1986 they moved to Highlands from Sarasota and became owners of Le Pavillon Ladies Apparel Store. They closed the store in 2004 and moved back to Sarasota. She was a member of Highlands United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband Wesley, Phyllis is survived by one sister Sandy K. Culleny of Nokomis, FL, one brother Steve Shivley of Beckley, W. VA a niece Stephanie and a nephew Stephen.

Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East on Saturday from 9:15 A.m. to 10:15 A.M. and are invited to attend a graveside service at North East Cemetery at 11 A.M. Rev. Dr. Mark E. Hecht will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Park United Methodist Church, 30 N. Lake St., North East, PA 16428.
