Helen L. Titus

Helen L. Titus, 79, a resident of Greenfield Twp., passed away Monday March 15, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born on June 16, 1930 in Venango Twp., PA a daughter of the late Jay and Velma Green McClelland.

Helen attended Greenfield Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and doing crocheting, sewing, drawing and playing the organ.

Preceded in death by her husband Harold Titus in 1997, one son, Roy L. Titus in 2006, a grandson, Jonathan Lee Eret in 2007, one brother Donald McClelland and two sisters, Alberta Smith and Dorothy Irwin. Helen is survived by four daughters, Jeanette Skarzenski and her husband LaVern, Diane Eret and her husband Frank and Karen Rose and her husband Scott all of North East and Barbara Titus Shumac, four brothers, Cecil McClelland of Findley Lake, NY, Frank McClelland of Lincolnville, PA Robert McClelland of Clymer, NY and Russell McClelland of Cambridge Springs, PA and one sister Louise Hancock of Lincolnville, PA. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you from the family to neighbors Chuck and Ginny Martin and Jeannette Pierce.

Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Friday at 11 A.M. Rev. David Waldo will officiate. Interment will be in Erie Co. Memorial Gardens.
