Martha E. Chambers

Martha E. Chambers, 88, of Sherman, NY passed away Tuesday February 16, 2010 at Heritage Village, Gerry, NY. She was born on March 15, 1921 in Erie, PA a daughter of the late Orlando and Henrietta Curtis Trask.

Martha was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Mina Corners, NY. She enjoyed reading her Bible, doing crafts and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Chambers Sr. in 1984, three brothers, four sisters, 1 daughter, 1 granddaughter and 1 great, great grandson. Martha is survived by her son, Charles W. Chambers Jr. and his wife Judy of Al, three daughters, Lucille Maldonado and Norma Gibbens and her husband Don Sr., all of North East and Donna Ranney and her husband Robert Sr., of Dewittville, NY, and one sister, Alice Chambers of Sherman, NY. Also survived by 30 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 17 great, great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Saturday at 11 A.M. Rev. William Nicholson will officiate. Interment will be in Mina Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the Bowers Funeral Home.
