Margaret R. Betts

Margaret R. Betts, 69, passed away Saturday July 18, 2009 at her residence in North East, PA. She was born on March 6, 1940 in Dryden, NY a daughter of the late Earl Richard and Mary Ann Holden Mix.

Margaret was a loving wife and mother and a very active member of Park United Methodist Church in North East.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Margaret is survived by her husband of 49 years, Daniel L. Betts, whom she married December 18, 1959, two sons, Michael L. Betts and Caroline Ford of England and Dale J. Betts and his wife Pat of Medina, OH, one daughter, Elaine M. Anderson and her husband Rich of White Bear Lake, MN, two sisters, Blanche Mix of Ithaca, NY and Marian Barret of San Jose, CA. Also survived by one grandson Nathaniel Betts and one granddaughter, Lauren M. Schrodt.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11A.M. at Park United Methodist Church, 30 N. Lake St., North East, PA. Rev. Dr. Mark E. Hecht, pastor of the church will officiate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA.
