Jean K. Buchholz

Jean K. Buchholz, 89, of North East, PA passed away Sunday September 28, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born on December 23, 1918 in Alden, NY the daughter of the late Balthasar Joseph and Mary Ann Knack Koch.

Jean was a very active member of Park United Methodist Church in North East and held many positions in the church. For many years she was the accompanist for the North East Choral Club. She was active in volunteer work in and around her community and enjoyed cooking and baking. She attended Fredonia Normal School in Fredonia, NY. Jean and her late husband Harold, who passed away in 1998, were awarded the North East Exchange Club Book of Golden Deeds Award in 1979.

Jean is survived by two sons, Jeffery Buchholz (wife Bobbi) of North East and Dr. Donald Buchholz (wife Margo) of Barrington, IL and one daughter, Joyce Sepulveda (husband Dom) of Vernon, CT. She is also survived by six granddaughters, Julie and Christy Buchholz, Allison Sepulveda Smith (husband Gregg), Amy Sepulveda, Jamie Buchholz and Laurie Buchholz Despotopulos (husband Charles).

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 2 P.M. Rev. Dr. Mark E. Hecht, pastor of Park United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in North East Cemetery and will be private.
