Rose J. Boll

Rose J. Boll, 72, of Boll Rd. in North East, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born on June 2, 1936 in Fredonia, NY a daughter of the late Cosmo and Vegenza Maulucci Mancuso.

Rose was a graduate of Fredonia High School, Fredonia, NY and a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God in North East. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her affiliation with the JOY group of the church. Rose and her late husband Emil, owned and operated Boll's Home Bakery in Silvercreek and Fredonia, NY. She was the head cook at O'Neill's Restaurant in North East for 25 years and previously worked as a cook at Brevillier Village along with other restaurants.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Emil Boll on June 6, 2002, one brother and one sister. Rose is survived by two sons, Edward E. Boll Jr. and his fiancée, Phyllis A. Baldwin of Mayville, NY, Michael A. Boll and his wife Pamela of Ripley, NY, one daughter, Diana Boll Lander and her husband Charles E. of Erie, PA, four sisters, Carol Ardillo of Fredonia, NY, Linda Seybold, Mary Ann Kreger and Betty Mancuso all of Dunkirk, NY. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters.

Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Tuesday at 11 A.M. Rev. Michael Grove will officiate. Interment will be in North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
