Inez Brumagin Edwards
Inez Brumagin Edwards, 84, formerly of North East, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 at Brevillier Village. She was born on July 8, 1922 in Wattsburg, PA a daughter of the late Harry Leon and Ethel A. Reynolds Brumagin.
She was a 1940 graduate of Wattsburg High School and had worked at Aero Supply in Corry in the 1940's. Prior to her retirement she had been employed for many years at Welch Foods in North East. Inez was a member of Park United Methodist Church in North East, and belonged to the Martha Circle of the church and Shiloh Chapter #153 O.E.S., North East, where she was a member of the Color Guard. She belonged to the North East Women's Club and their Garden Club Division. She was a member and Past President of AARP in North East and did volunteer work at St. Vincent's Health Center. She enjoyed Square Dancing, traveling and playing cards with her many friends. Inez and her late husband, Norris received the North East Exchange Club Book of Golden Deeds Award in 1984.
Preceded in death by her husband Norris E. Edwards, May 1991, two daughters, June M. Crouch, June 1991 and Marcia K. Edwards, February 1969, one son, Ronald M. Edwards, September 1968 and two brothers, Milton D. Brumagin, February 1988 and Gerald A. Brumagin, August 2004. Inez is survived by one sister Ruth Rouse of Harborcreek, one granddaughter, Karen Meerdink and her husband Jay of Rochester, NY, three great grandchildren, Katie, Emma and Toby Meerdink, four nephews, Richard Rouse and his wife Carol of Erie, Roger Rouse and his wife Patricia of Wattsburg, Lloyd Brumagin and his wife Beth of Jacksonville, FL, and Bob Brumagin and his wife Ruth of Oregon, and one niece, Pat Barton and her husband Bill of Clearwater, FL.
Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, Independent Care Group Affiliate, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and are invited to attend funeral services there on Friday at 11 A.M. Rev. Dr. Mark E. Hecht will officiate. Interment in North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Park United Methodist Church, 30 N. Lake St., North East, PA 16428 or the charity of one's choice. Shiloh Chapter #153 O.E.S. will conduct services at the funeral home Thursday evening at 7 P.M.
